Privacy Policy

Tiquette Buddy ("we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome extension that generates AI-drafted customer support replies inside Gorgias. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Google account email and profile picture — collected at sign-in via Google OAuth to identify your account.
Draft usage count and last active timestamp — we track how many drafts you've generated in the current billing period and when you last used the extension, to enforce plan limits and maintain your account record.
Gorgias ticket content — the text of the ticket thread you are drafting a reply for is sent to our AI service to generate a response. We do not store this content after the draft is returned.
Brand profiles and settings — names, descriptions, and tone notes you save in the extension's Settings tab are stored in Chrome's built-in sync storage. If you have Chrome sync enabled, this data is also synced to your Google account by Chrome. It is not stored on our servers.
Stripe billing data — if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We receive and store your email address, subscription status, and Stripe customer ID. We do not store card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and associate your usage with your account.
To enforce free and Pro plan draft limits.
To generate AI-powered reply drafts using your ticket content and brand settings.
To manage your subscription status via Stripe webhooks.

3. Third-Party Services

Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Supabase — our database and serverless functions host. Stores your email, usage count, Pro status, and Stripe customer ID. Data is stored in the US.
Google Gemini API — processes your ticket content to generate reply drafts, with optional Google Search grounding for real-time product information. Content is not used to train Google's models under standard API terms.
Stripe — handles payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Your account record (email, usage count, Pro status) is retained for as long as your account is active. Ticket content sent for draft generation is not persisted — it is processed in memory and discarded. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@tiquette.app. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Tiquette Buddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
